Ephesians 3:14-19 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;

Tthat ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth,
and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Day 13What God Has Done Is Leading to a Glorious Celebration of His Grace.

As we move on in the great opening Word of Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians, we find that all God is doing in us  now is moving on to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the BelovedEphesians 1:6. The word praise in this verse means “a glorious celebration.” In the Day of the Lord there will be no celebration in honor of our ability to become holy and useful in His Kingdom. It will be a celebration of the glory of His grace. This grace, to which all honor will go, is the means by which God has drawn us from the brink of destruction. By the power and the glory of His grace He is making us fit for His Kingdom.

Even now, while there are things working in us that do not belong in His Kingdom, grace is at work in us. While we would like to know that we are made immediately qualified for His Kingdom, it is taking the longsuffering of our Heavenly Father to bring us on to the point of real “Kingdom Usefulness.” The work that began in His heart at creation, the work carried forward in the redemption, and the patience by which He has dealt with us are all expressions of His grace. Everyday His grace grows in us as He holds onto us with a determination to bring His work  to completion in us.

FATHER, how I praise You for not letting go of me! You could have dumped me long ago, but You kept on holding me, because You loved me. I want to be holy and pure for You. I don’t want this just so I can have a better place in heaven. I want to be holy and pure so You can have me as a better son, or daughter, for Your eternal purpose. Please let Your grace continue working in me. I know there are areas in my life that still need much work that only Your grace can perform. Oh, but I love You for not giving up on me!
